Angela Lumicisi trained in classical singing at the Melba Conservatorium of Music, and her performing career has varied from the national and international touring Motown tribute band MOTUNES, to singing in LA TRAVIATA at De Bortoli winery, and performing jazz standards in the duo SIMPLE GROOVES.

Angela's classical appearances this year include chorus in Melbourne Operas production of CAVALLERIA RUSTICANA and PAGLIACCI, as well as MERRIE ENGLAND with Lyric Opera and AN INTRODUCTION TO ITALIAN OPERA with More than Opera. In 2008 she performed the title role in MADAME BUTTERFLY with the Mornington Peninsula Theatre company, as well POSTCARD FROM CARLTON with More than Opera, the opening of the Superdome for the 2000 Sydney Olympics with the Melbourne Chorale performing MAHLERS SYMPHONY OF 1000, as well as appearing with the Australian Ballet in CARMINA BIRANA and FAURE'S REQUIEM.

Angela also has a strong history performing in musical theatre. In 2010 she performed as Scotty in MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG at the Melbourne Recital Centre. Other theatre credits include the Melbourne Premiere of MACBETH: THE CONTEMPORARY OPERA as Lady Macbeth, as well as the return season in Brisbane in 2009. She has performed in Magnormos' production of FLORA THE RED MENACE (Charlotte), readings of ARCHY & MEHITABEL (Mehitabels cohorts), Stephen Sondheim's SATURDAY NIGHT (Celeste) at the BMW edge, as well as productions of A NEW BRAIN (Rhoda), MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG (KT), WORKING (Cleaning woman) and LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (voice of Audrey II).

Angela has also written and produced two cabaret shows, The Casting Couch, and had a successful run of her first one woman show Solitaire at the Butterfly Club.

Angela's next appearance will be in a brand new children's opera LOL, playing the role of Nabby at Federation Hall.
