Joanna White:

Joanna is a mainly self-taught composer, lyricist and scriptwriter, embarking on a musical 'apprenticeship' when most people retire.


At the outset she had the good fortune to meet Sir Tim Rice, whose encouragement to live her dream of writing a musical, drove her to keep going - especially when the challenges of learning music theory made her feel like giving up.

In the past eight years she has written forty songs, most of them emanating from the two musicals she's writing concurrently.

Joanna's mainstream working life as a London-based photo-journalist took her to many countries until an assignment to marvellous Melbourne helped her decide where to put down roots.
