Matt's recent theatre credits include playing John Phillips in FLOWERCHILDREN (Magnormos) and Dan Goodman in the MTC's NEXT TO NORMAL. In 2009 he won a Green Room Award as Best Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of Freddy Benson in the critically acclaimed DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS.

Matt has also won a Helpmann Award as Best Actor in a musical for THE FULL MONTY and has starred in other productions such as SHANE WARNE THE MUSICAL, SWEET CHARITY, HAIR (Green Room & MO Award nomination) and HAPPY DAYS THE ARENA SPECTACULAR. Matt is a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA Musical theatre).

His other theatrical credits include: DAMN YANKEES, THE LAST 5 YEARS, AFTER THE BEEP, SOUTH PACIFIC, I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT NOW CHANGE, THE NEW ROCKY HORROR SHOW, THE BOY FROM OZ (original workshop), THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS, BIG RIVER (received the Musical Theatre Guild Best Actor Award), ON THE TOWN, WEST SIDE STORY, CANDIDE, RAGS, GRAND HOTEL, THE SEAGULL and for Magnormos OZMADE MUSICALS 2007 and ARCHY & MEHITABEL. Matt also wrote and performed his one-man show: THE MAD WORLD OF... to critical acclaim.

His numerous television appearances include: CITY HOMICIDE, STINGERS, MARSHALL LAW, BYO RESTAURANT (Host), GOOD MORNING AUSTRALIA, IN MELBOURNE TONIGHT, DENISE and HEY HEY IT'S SATURDAY.
