Based on the true story of a youth resistant
movement to Hilter in Germany during the Second World War, THE WHITE ROSE is a
stirring tale of courage and vision that resonates strongly in contemporary
times. Evil flourishes where good men say nothing. First performed in 2003 by
Monash University directed by Peter Fitzpatrick and musically directed by Andrew
Patterson. Subsequently this production toured to Singapore, and then the University of Ballarat
Arts Academy staged a full production in 2005 featuring their second year Music
Theatre students. This production was directed by Kim Durban with Musical Direction by Andrew
Patterson.
